What is the dress code?

The dress code for Friday night is cocktail. We suggest that men wear a jacket and no tie and women wear a long summer dress. The dress code for Saturday is formal. We suggest men wear a suit and women wear a cocktail dress. We encourage ladies to wear block heels as there will be a walk to a short 5-10 minute walk to the ceremony from the shuttle drop off point.

Can I bring my kids?

We love your little ones! However, due to the location of the wedding being inaccessible to personal cars and transportation, and only accessible by shuttles, we are encouraging adults only for the weekend. 

Will the wedding be indoor or outdoor?

The location of the ceremony will be outside overlooking the Cumberland Plateau. Guests will then transition to the Sewanee Inn for cocktail hour and the reception. We strongly encourage ladies to wear block heels. 

How do we get to the wedding venue?

Because our ceremony site is uniquely off the beaten path, all guests will be asked to use our shuttle services as there will be no parking available at Myers Point. Please meet at The Sewanee Inn for shuttle services to the ceremony.

*The Sewanee Inn is walkable to most Air Bnbs on campus. If you are staying in Monteagle, we recommend driving to The Sewanee Inn and utilizing their free parking.
